Artist Statement

My paintings exhibit strength in the use of rhythmic movement,
minimal imagery and choice of color to reveal mood and atmosphere;
They are rich in emotion and skillfully nuanced by expressionism
as a resolute style of work.

My growing up experiences from a rural village in Malaysia,
and later studying abroad and traveling throughout many different countries contribute to my diverse and unique artistry creativity.

The primarily abstract images reside in my consciousness and actuality.
I use western oil paint and Chinese calligraphy ink to create
the complementary effect of these occurrences; the oil can be merged with
traditional eastern painting media.

I believe; in life, any state of oversaturated condition or
emotional turbulence can become organized and balanced.
