Tree Rooted in Heaven

Oil and Ink on Wood
48 in x 48 in

In a complete revolution, complacency turns on its axis, life throws somersaults, the void pulsates and rhythm cells accentuate; dawn's first light shines forth: a tree, rooted in heaven.

Boldness

Oil and Ink on Canvas
48 in x 36 in

Black and white tones are the source of illusory abstraction; I use oil paint and calligraphy ink to excavate the abstract images and intertwine them on canvas with my inner thoughts, time and space. Between the minimal imagery and nominal color choices, the painting evolves simultaneously in rhythmic movement; no one knew it was living, or needed, until it existed.

Wu Mountain Goddess

Oil and Ink on Canvas
48 in x 36 in

I want to dwell more deeply in these nuances and seek quietness over the whole creation: cloud, tree, mountain, etc. I will further reveal mankind’s abyss of despair, loneliness, joyfulness and repetitive probing into the essence of being. My hope for my art is to alleviate human struggle in the hearts of man; I want to look at what nature shows me and paint what my heart feels with fleeting color and light.
